  29. I have been having a similar problem. In my scene I have two shadow mapped
  30. spots, each with intensity falloff. I need the soft shadows , ray traced
  31. shadows just won't cut it.

  33. The bug i am encountering is annoying really: a box opens saying :
  34. "Error: Can't allocate image buffer ... 'Continue' ". 
  35. No GPF, no crash. Hitting 'enter' proceeds with rendering. This will occur
  36. every 5,6, ... 9 frames - whatever. Constant attendance while rendering an
  37. animation is ludicrous to say the least.

  39. I have rendering display turned off and am saving animation to IFF's.
  40. Using LW 4.0c on P-90 32mbRAM Windows3.11.

  42. Anyone have words of wisdom on this. A work around for the soft shadows
  43. would be good ... I NEED soft shadows for this.

  45. As for the bug, it really is a false alarm - there is no real error here ...
  46. the saved images are fine once I continue!
